There are many charges that are unreasonable given that we didn't have a chance to go through the apartment with them-I let them know verbally in advance that we were leaving on the 1st of October and they did not tell me they wanted to schedule an inspection. Not only did they keep our $500 security deposit, they charged us for minor things of normal wear and tear, such as $220 for painting, carpet cleaning, etc. NB: I got on my account and they deleted the "Intent to Vacate" documents so I cannot upload that.2. We moved out on and paid our rent and renters insurance until the expiration of the lease on. On the "Intent to Vacate," it said they were going to inspect the unit on. Upon move out, they charged us $50 for renters' insurance when we had given them proof of coverage through State Farm.Other complaints:1. I went into their office more than two months to sign their "Intent to Vacate" document. They claimed we had not given them enough notice to vacate. Two of them are egregious and I will detail those first.1. We moved out of Scottsdale Horizon Apartments having fully paid our 13 month lease agreement. However, they are claiming further charges upon moving out. I therefore told them I needed a meeting.and reminded them of the lease rescionsion and there were no fees owed, and that we needed to finish up the rescionsion before a restart could happen, as it was messing up the portal, but they were unwilling to meet.$2700 is owed They said they had an extra copy of the keys to get in.She finally met with me Jan 6, 2023, and she had changed the rescionsion document!! I told them we can't change the rescionsion agreement since it was the agreement for move out! There was no breaking the lease, and there were no fees for either party, and a full return of my money, except for the four days owed.Regardless of what we considered in trying to find me a place, (I mentioned I needed one still and they said they wanted me to restart this one?),unless they accepted the rescionsion as is and stopped trying to change it, I could not move forward with any restart or new lease for that matter.I did say I would take legal counsel about the change of document, and would see what the portal said before I could restart any lease. They unfortunately included legal fees in the portal (what would have been the first restart payment if we had gone forward with it), along with late fees. Well that turned out to be very difficult, and I was busy dealing with the aftermath of that 1st week.I was able to meet with maintenance.and we conducted the exit walk through and it was aced with nothing owed. I was told it was to be given with keys to the head manager, *********, and to make an appointment with her. It was confirmed by email, by both parties.I moved out, based on the agreement, and I dropped by the office with the paper copy and keys. I moved out of the apartment after noticing for the first four days, that there was soiled and stained firnishings left in the apartment, as well as trouble getting hot water started.I was given a lease rescionsion which held neither party liable and no fees owed by either one.
